Zaynah received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with Criminology from the University of York in 2014, before completing a Masters in Applied Human Rights in 2015. Having worked in finance for several years, she felt the need for a career change and moved to Koh Samui in 2017, where she gained a TEFL with distinction. After working at the International School of Samui for a year, she decided that teaching was the right profession for her and began studying for a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. Studying education and teaching at the same time has allowed her to amplify her skills and has further ignited her passion for teaching and working with children. “It feels good to finally have found something that excites me the way teaching does. I get to wake up every morning looking forward to what the day will bring.” Zaynah joined LIS in September 2019 and is excited to bring her unique skill set to the classroom.
